24/7 Onsite Cameras utilizes today’s technology, including rental cameras with advanced video compression and cellular networks in standalone Rental Surveillance Units eliminating jobsite theft, improving worker productivity and increasing safety awareness for clients throughout the Midwest.

A newly formed mobile surveillance company in the Midwest is simplifying construction site security. 24/7 Onsite Cameras is using advanced technologies and a variety of rental video surveillance products to provide companies with wireless solutions for monitoring job sites remotely. The company is a full service provider for temporary or long-term wireless video surveillance systems and a dealer for the Videofied product line, utilizing totally wireless motion detectors to provide instant video alerts of intrusions.

The company sells and rents units to construction companies, entertainment venues, federal and local law enforcement authorities, State Department of Transportation and other commercial and industrial companies where remote monitoring is necessary or assets are at risk.

Former equipment executive Keith Jackson founded 24/7 Onsite Cameras with the end-user in mind. “We give our customers the solutions they need with instant access to monitor their properties from almost anywhere in the world,” Jackson said. “We will rent one of these units by the day, week, month or year based on the temporary need of the customer. It can be set up and operational within minutes of arriving on site.”

The units are an ideal option for out-of- state building owners who need to monitor the build progress of a project in another location from their home office. Rental video surveillance is also beneficial for the contractor on site. “Imagine the creditability a contractor now commands by not just listing their portfolio of projects in a bid but bringing out an iPad to show their potential client current projects “Live” under construction,” Jackson explained.

The recent addition of Videofied means 24/7 On Site Cameras can also provide customers with a construction site security system that is an unplugged, affordable, extremely portable security system. Videofied features movable remote sentries that provide instant video alerts of intrusions. “Videofied can be installed anywhere and moved around for any situation,” Jackson said. “Your video security system literally goes with you. The system with 10-15 cameras can be carried in a briefcase from jobsite to jobsite,” Jackson added. The Videofied system can be set up quickly, directed at specific assets such as equipment or material deliveries to protect against theft or vandalism.

24/7 Onsite Cameras opened for business in Columbia, Ill., last month to sell and rent mobile surveillance units to construction sites, entertainment events, federal and local law enforcement authorities, and commercial applications where assets are at risk for a temporary period.

Founder and president Keith Jackson joined forces with Houston-based Cameras Onsite as the manufacturer of its rental surveillance units (RSU). The rental offering includes include both electric units as well as diesel hybrid units that are self contained and have a run time of up to 90 days without service. The traditional trailer-mounted option is also available for sale to those that wish to own the product.

“24/7 OnSite Cameras Inc. is very excited about the opportunity to be the exclusive distributor for this product in the Midwest,” said Jackson. “This technology is long overdue in the Midwest and we are excited to once again provide a product that will fill a niche market 24/7/365 days per year.”

While mobile units have been available in other parts of the country the RSU will be the first of its kind for rental in the St. Louis area. The RSU uses an advanced form of video compression, wireless and cellular networks to provide the most modular system available, the company said.

The RSU unit can be delivered and set up within minutes, providing a 360-degree view immediately. Customers can monitor their own site via Internet from anywhere, or contract with 24/7 for monitoring support.

Jackson previously held executive level positions for two large corporations, both of which gained market share under his leadership in the construction/industrial arena, the company said.

Plans are in place to open 24/7 Onsite Cameras branch locations in Memphis, Tenn.; Chicago; Indianapolis; Louisville, Ky.; Kansas City, Mo.; and Cincinnati.
